Shakespeare’s Swords is hosted at King Edward VI School in Stratford upon Avon. The full address and map for the school can be found on our contact page. There is pay and display parking on site for a limited number of cars available via Chapel Lane. Additional parking is available on Chapel Lane itself (with a charge for on-street parking) and at the numerous car parks in the town centre. The closest of these is the Church Street car park which operates a pay-and-display system and is open to the public at weekends and evenings only.

The entrance to the school is on Chapel Lane. Visitors should proceed to the Levi Fox Hall. There are changing rooms for the fencers. Although King Edward VI is predominantly a boys' school, female changing rooms are available for events. Beverages, cakes and sandwiches can be purchased from the light refreshments bar adjacent to the Levi Fox Hall.
Our fencing hall, the Levi Fox Hall, is purpose built for fencing training and competitions. It has a national standard sprung floor marked with eight permanent pistes, which are used for training and competitions. As an acoustic hall, it is excellent for competition as the clashing of blades and sound of voices do not echo through the building. There is a viewing gallery for the hall; it is advisable to bring your own seating.
In addition to the main hall, we have a further area in the neighbouring gymnasium with another four pistes. Spectator space is very limited in the gymnasium.
Non-fencing visitors are asked to ensure that they keep off the pistes during competition. Small children must be kept under control at all times; this can be a dangerous sport when one is not wearing appropriate protection.
